BTE Multi-Cervical Unit

The Multi Cervical Unit (MCU) is the most effective comprehensive system that objectively evaluates and rehabilitates cervical injury.

The Multi Cervical Unit is a digitally interfaced system that allows for the real-time recording of cervical spine movement and isometric strength in more than 1,000 unique positions. The system also features a dynamic strengthening program for cervical spine rehabilitation.

A significant, yet untapped market exists for the evaluation and treatment of cervical injuries. Past traditional treatments have relied upon rest, medication and manipulation practices and have met with limited success. These treatments lacked focus on the functional restoration of the patient through strengthening and restoring the range of motion of the neck.

According to continuing outcome studies being conducted by LaTrobe University, in Melbourne, Australia, over ninety percent of patients treated on the Multi Cervical Unit have reported significant improvement. Dr. Kenneth Greenwood, PhD., notes the remarkable success of the MCU system," It is clear from the Outcome Data Analysis that the rehabilitation program results in improvements in Strength, Range of Motion and Lifestyle whilst reducing Pain."* This system has been featured on both Australian, as well as US television news.

The MCU provides:

  • Objective Measurement for Diagnosis of Cervical Function/Dysfunction
  • Comprehensive Evaluation of Cervical Range of Motion (ROM) in Single and Multi-Plane Movement Patterns
  • Comprehensive Evaluation of Cervical Strength in Single and Multi-Plane Movement Patterns
  • Variable Resistance for Dynamic Strengthening
  • Graphical Representation of Movement and Strength for Complete Analysis
  • Objective Computer-Integrated Reports with Color Diagrams, Charts and Graphs

Evaluation and Rehabilitation of Patients For:

  • General and Chronic Neck Pain
  • Whiplash Associated Disorders
  • Muscle-Tension headache
  • Upper Extremity Conditions Involving Cervical Disc Compression
  • Sports-Related Cervical Injuries
  • Job/Postural-Related Cervical Dysfunction
