Purdue Pegboard Test
The Purdue Pegboard Test has been used extensively to aid in the selection of employees for jobs that require fine and gross motor dexterity and coordination by measuring gross movements of hands, fingers and arms, and fingertip dexterity as necessary in assembly tasks.
Measures unilateral and bilateral dexterity for two types of activity - gross movements of hands, fingers and arms, and "fingertip" dexterity in an assembly task. Involves sequential insertion of pegs and assembly of pegs, collars and washers. Includes examiner's manual. Stopwatch, needed for administration of test, is not included. Standardized.
