Box And Blocks Test
The Box and Blocks Test provides a baseline for patients recovering from a stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or those suffering from ms, fibromyalgia, or neuromuscular disorders. The Box and Blocks Test is a functional test used in upper limb rehabilitation. The test is used to assess a patient's or a person using an upper limb prosthetic device's gross manual dexterity. The test consists of a box with a partition in the middle. Blocks are placed on one side of the partition.
- It includes a wooden carrying box with handle, 152 wooden blocks (1" cubes) in a zippered bag, stop watch, and box divider
- Box is split into two squares that measure 11.5" long x 11.5" wide x 3.25" tall which makes the total length 23";
- When inserted, the partition stands an additional 4" tall
- Portable version of the standardized test for manual dexterity
- Easy to set up and take down; all included items can be easily stored inside
- This test is often administered to patients with limited dexterity, poor coordination, or reduced upper extremity function
